E.D. ( Dixon ) Winder joined the firm on February 1, 1984, then merging the long established London law practice of Winder, Winder and McNeil with the then existing firm of MacKewn Smeenk Leach and Broad.
Dixon graduated from Trinity College School, Port Hope, Ontario ( 1963 ), Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, USA, ( 1968 ) and Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto, Ontario, ( 1971 ). He Articled with and subsequently joined on his call to the Bar in 1973 the Toronto law firm of Strathy, Archibald, Seagram and Cole, (now Gowlings). In April of 1976 he returned to London to acquire and continue his father's long established law practice.
He acts as a solicitor specializing in the areas of Estates, Wills, Trusts and the administration thereof, Real Estate acquisitions, dispositions and financings and Corporate Commercial law involving business acquisitions and dispositions and contract and lease negotiations throughout South Western Ontario.
He is a member of the Middlesex Law Association, the Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers Association and is active in his church as well as several social, philanthropic and service organizations in the London area.
